  1. Hi, Me again, checked xfs volume in maintenance mode and this did the trick. Cheers. Unraid_Noob
  2. Hi, I have a shared folder containing 1 folder which contains 1 folder and so on up to 4 levels. I tried everything I know to remove the share and also the folder. Each time I tried I got the message "Directory is not empty" What I already tried: - Delete the folder folder in the chain (level 1) with rm -rf folder_name - Delete the last folder in the chain (level 4) with rm -rf folder_name - List the content of each folder with ln -la. Empty except the subfolder - Rename the folder. Rename works but still get the message. - Limit the share to only 1 disk - Check the disk for errors => no errors General Info: - Unraid - Linux 5.10.28-Unraid x86_64 - File system: XFS
  3. OK thanks, I recovered the first one but some data was lost for the second one. Thank you for your help. Denis
  4. Hi, I had a server crash and 2 disks appeared as disabled. Fortunately, I have 2 parity disks and started with the first problem. I followed the procedure to replace the 1st disk and waited the array to be rebuilt. Unfortunately, the process stopped in the middle and I had to restart it from the beginning. Eventually, the rebuild process finished successfully but the disk appeared as unmountable with no file system. I really don't know what to do. Could someone help me to understand and solve my problem. Thanks. Denis ket-diagnostics-20210422-0951.zip
  5. Hi, For days I have warning messages about my /var/log filling up. I tried several things in order to clean it. I cleaned the atop folder but I ma still getting the messages and the percentage is increasing progressively. I have attached the diagnostics as well as a screenshot of the ncdu of the /var/log folder. Is there something I am missing? Thank you for your help. Denis ket-diagnostics-20210209-0932.zip
  6. Hi, I am using this plugin for month and it works perfectly. Thanks for that. I recently installed a nvme disk and put some containers on it. By doing this, I suppose the Autobackup plugin will not detect the new location for the containers' data. Does a symlink would solve this problem? Something like ln -s /mnt/disks/nvme/appdata/plex /mnt/user/appdata/plex ? How will behave unraid with a symlink in the appdata folder? Thank you for your answers. Denis
  7. Hi, I have followed another path to achieve the same results (I suppose). I have several shares but all are set as hidden except one (Union share). The one that is visible is the mergerfs root dir. I use a script that puts all the hidden shares under the same root mergerfs dir. The result is as follows: /mnt/user/share1 (Hidden) /mnt/user/share2 (Hidden) /mnt/user/share3 (Hidden) /mnt/user/Union (Root mergerfs directory which is the only share not hidden) /mnt/user/Union/share1 (mergerfs mount point for share 1) /mnt/user/Union/share2 (mergerfs mount point for share 2) /mnt/user/Union/share3 (mergerfs mount point for share 3) To "mount" the mergerfs dir I run a script that checks that the mergerfs is already mounted, if not I mount it. I see advantages to this way of doing: - No change to the standard way of sharing of Unraid - The hidden shares can still be accessed by explicitly specifying them - I use the mergerfs mount to join different shares and also rclone mount point. e.g. I mount /mnt/user/Union/Movies that merges the files from my local /mnt/user/Movies hidden share as well as the files from my gdrive: /Movies rclone mount. If you are interested I can provide the scripts to achieve this. Regards Denis
  8. Hi NeoJoris, Sad news for you. After weeks of investigation and testing I ended requesting a replacement which happened. I just received it. Due to the time requested for the investigation process I bought a Supermicro board which will be my definitive motherboard. I will resell the Asrock one. Cheers, Denis
  9. Hi, As stated in the subject, I received from a RMA a brand new Asrock Rack Motherboard. In the meantime, I have bought another board. For the aforementioned reason I sell this one which was never used. For the specifications, simply follow this link. The motherboard is still available on the Asrock site. For the current price on the market, I found this price ($275.99) on Newegg, being European I found this price (411.90€) on Ebay France for a downgraded model. So please, make me a fair offer and it will be an easy deal. Denis
  10. Hi all, I contacted the Asrock support in order to get a response about my CPU_CATERR error. After several weeks of investigation, trial and errors, they apparently seem to point a problem with the OS. To summarize the problem, I experience random server freezes with a CPU_CATERR error in IPMI logs. The only solution is a hard reset of the server. Another interesting aspect is that when the problem occurs, the switch where my server is connected gets mad and blocks all the other ports as well. Meaning all the other hosts connected to the same switch become unreachable. After the hard restart everything returns to normal. I tried: - To remove all the PCI cards - To remove all the RAM modules except one - To change the RAM modules with another brand - To update the Bios with a special version provided by Asrock - To change the PSU with another one This without any success. Sometimes I can run the server for weeks without any issues, but on the other hand it happens that during the same day the server freezes 2 to 3 times. What can I do to prove to ASRock that the problem is the motherboard itself and nothing else. Thank you for your help. Denis
  11. Dear Jonathan, Thank you for your comment. It helped me a lot for the investigation. By checking the IPMI events I manage to find always the same error before the freeze. Here is the extract: "742 | 03/16/2020, 19:11:49 | CPU_CATERR | Processor | State Asserted - Asserted". By googling, I found that CATERR stands for catastrophic error. I read this article which explain pretty well the error handling process. Now I have to find what is causing my problem. Denis
  12. Hi all, Lately my server started to behave strangely. It freezes without further notice. I checked the logs but did not see any problem. I have an out of band nic to be able to connect to the server to remote control it and reboot it. When the server freezes the ipmi interface is also unreachable. You can find the diagnostic files attach to this post. Thanks. Denis ket-diagnostics-20200316-1113.zip
  13. Hi, I have two issues which seems to be related. The last parity check I ran finished with lots of errors and at the same time one of my disk has read errors. What should I do: rerun the parity check or try to correct the read errors? I joined the diag file. Thank you for your help. Unraid_Noob ket-diagnostics-20200303-0841.zip
  14. Hi, I have the pleasure to announce that I recovered from a disk crash. It took more than 2 days to recover it. I would like to thank all of you for the support I received on this forum and especially to johnnie.black for his patience and his help. From a disastrous situation and some bad actions from my part I thought I lost at least the data from one of my drives but eventually I recovered everything. Thanks again !!! I join the diags after the recovery. Unraid Parity sync / Data rebuild: 09-01-2020 08:04 Notice [TOWER] - Parity sync / Data rebuild finished (0 errors) Duration: 21 hours, 17 minutes, 46 seconds. 15. 98.1% rebuilt. Still 30 min to go. Finger crossed but it should be fine this time. Sined
