Thank you for your reply would it simply be a case of removing the Adaptec Serial ATA II RAID 1430SA card and installing the LSI SAS 9210-8i 8-port 6Gb/s PCIe x8 HBA RAID card and then powering on my Unraid will it find all drives etc. Or do I need to do some prep work first.

Hi, I built my Unraid in 2012 and it has been relatively faultless I mainly use it as a media server to store and stream my ripped UHD films to my Zappitti player, with some storage for photos etc. I have now realised that there are quite a few drives in my system that are 10 years old 2TB drives and I plan to replace them with some 4TB and above, however I don't have any spare data conections I have a parity drive and 8 storage drives and 1 cache drive. My motherboard is a M4A78LT-M LX with a AMD Phenom™ II X4 905e cpu I have an Adaptec Serial ATA II RAID 1430SA card installed in the 1 x PCIe x16 slot. Would I be able to swap this for a LSI SAS 9210-8i 8-port 6Gb/s PCIe x8 HBA RAID card to give me some expansion (Mainly I just need 1 free data connection to allow me to pre clear the new drives that I wish to install). Any help / advice would be very much appreciated Thanks

I upgrade to latest stable and have noticed that I can't point kodi at any shares when I try and browse smb i get error 2 share not available. I have no trouble accessing and watching existing shares on kodi just can't point to any new ones What do I need to do to resolve thanks

i don't know about the license being tied to the docker, i made the container for someone else a while back. i'll pm you the details on how to get it, i also don't know how to go from unpaid to paid. sparkly I too has a license for asset and would love to give your docker a try. May I? and would you tell me how I can get it please? I too have a license for asset and would dearly like to get this up and running via a docker as I have just upgraded to 6.2.1 today and really need assetupnp along with bubbleupnp running. any assistance would be very much appreciated. You should just be able to stop the array assign the replacement drive start the array to do the rebuild Having said that it would not do any damage to stop the array unassign the old drive start the array with the drive missing (so it is being emulated) stop the array again assign the drive to be used start the array to start the rebuild The reason you sometimes want to go through these extra steps is that it causes unRAID to forget the old assignment so that you can (if needed) rebuild the drive back onto itself. Doing these steps when not necessary does no damage and it is not a bad habit to get into and it only takes a few extra seconds to do them. Thank you there is nothing on the smaller drive that's why I just took it out but just wanted to make sure not unassign it would not cause problems

Hi I am replacing a smaller data drive with a larger drive. I have installed the drive and removed the smaller drive and am running pre clear my question is do I need to reconnect the smaller drive and Unassign it or can I just add the larger drive once pre clear is complete. Thanks

Hi I had to re boot my server today and lost my running AssetUPnP and cant get it back. I am trying to copy the asset file from my flash drive root to cp /root/AssetUPnP-Linux-x86-premium.tar.gz /usr/bin/asset but keep getting cannot stat no file or directory. but the file is definitely there
