[Plugin] Mover Tuning
I think there is an issue with the mover tuning plugin combined with 7 RC1: Mover dit nothing on RC1 when activated manually. Tuning was setup to have move button not follow the tuning rules. After removing the plugin all was working again.

Tailscale in docker: use exit node with mullvad
I am using tailscale in combination with the mullvad addon. I would like to make one of my dockers use a mullvad exit node by default. When choosing an exit node in the settings for the docker I can only choose my own devices that I made an exit node, not the mullvad addons. Is that a feature to come or a bug ? I also noticed that the "tailscale webui" does not take the port into account. It takes you to the tailscale IP but does not use the port, therefore for most dockers it will not work.

[PLUGIN] GPU Statistics
Solved ! Thanks for your support !

[PLUGIN] GPU Statistics
2024.11.28 My second message that the stats were not showing appears to not be correct, it is working now.. I must have seen that wrong yesterday. The selection issue hower is correct, in Edge I cannot change the GPU in the settings, I tried on two different pc's to be sure and also tried Chrome. This does work in Safari on my iphone (which is where i made the correct settings and it is now running fine again, if i however now go into settings in Edge or Chrome the setting still appears wrong and if I press apply it is wrong again.

[PLUGIN] GPU Statistics
Using Edge (but thats chromium so should be the same..) ! Screenshot is attached, I was able to set the iGPU using safari on my iphone. It now reports the device on the dashboard but gpu stats are still not shown while I am positive it is transcoding like h*ll (just installed Tdarr).

[PLUGIN] GPU Statistics
After the latest update GPU statistics does not show anything anymore. It states that "no gpu is selected", but the GPU selector in the settings part does not work. Trying to click open the selection box does not work and my intel igpu's name is shown below it but is not selectable in any way.

[Plugin] Tailscale
Happily using tailscale with help of the new plugin and with spaceinvader1's videos. I can access my vm''s from the internet, I have setup specific dns addresses in my own domain. Everything works great. I have also been able to use the docker-mod to give one of my dockers a specific tailscale address, also works great ! I have also added the mullvad exit nodes (payed option), also works !) It is amazing how easy this product works. Now what I want to do is to force that docker to use a mullvad exit node. I have set this container to make it possible to us a mullvad exit node, I then give the following command on the container console: tailscale up --exit-node=100.70.79.111 --exit-node-allow-lan-access As far as I understand that should make the container use the exit node while still alowing local access. Unfortuantely this does not work. The container does not route its traffic thru the exit node. Any help is appreciated.

Terrible transfer performance from the POOL to the Array
Unraid also does zfs
-
Your Experiences with SSDs in Array?
you would need to find a way to make sure the SSD does not TRIM at all... Because if it does it will destroy your parity.. Not advised..
-
Terrible transfer performance from the POOL to the Array
Since you are not used to unraid: When writing to the array the parity calculation gives a big penalty on speed. This is why you use a cache drive to have speedy transfer and let the mover take care of moving data to the array at its leasure without you noticing..

[Support] Audiobookshelf
Seems I have forgotten my password for audiobookshelf... Any way to retrieve this ?

Unraid is Partnering with Tailscale for Seamless, Secure Networking Solutions
This is a great addition ! I had wireguard running without issues but this is way better ! If we can add support for dockers with specific exit points then that will make my setup a bit easier. Love these additions! Am currently paying for mullvad but if we can add tailgate for the dockers I can move away from there, move away from OpenVPN-Client and use tailscale. The setup is indeed enormously more easy then with wireguard on its own, for the tweaker it will not be a big difference but for those a bit less tech savy it iis a way better experience.

[Support] Linuxserver.io - diskover
seems like time was the issue.. this morning i can logon.. its asking me to start a crawl... now to find out how that step works 🙂
-
[Support] Linuxserver.io - diskover
Just installed diskover and elastic search (5.6.16). Logging in with "diskover" and "darkdata" gives a wrong userid or password message... What could be wrong ? I do not see anything specific in the logs...

Migrating to a new server
I will shortly renew the setup of my unraid server. I will move to a new case, mobo, memory, cache drives and a new license. I will move to: - Jonsbo N3 case - asrock z790M-itx - i5-14600T - 64 gig memory kingston fury beast - 2TB Samsung 990 pro for appsdrive - 4TB Crucual mx500 for cachedrive i will migrate my array drives out of my current chassis. why ? Current setup (supermicro/xeon) is kind of power hungry and also my current case can hole 25 drives externally accessible wit lh supermicro drive bays, it looks nice but I do not use all of them a y more (I used to mine Chia coin and had this thing totally filled up). also: I just like to build a new system 🙂 my approach: - build the system hardware wise - on my old server turn off vm and docker and then migrate the vmdisks and the docker and plugin configs to the array - boot up new systemwith a fresh usb, get the new license on it - set up new appsdrive and cachedrive - now take the old array drives and put them i to the new system - new config themin the correct slots that should bring all my shared back, correct ? - now migrate the vmdisks from the array bacj to the new apps ssd and set them up (create new vm with same settings as old one and import the vmdisks). sofar so good. now for docker and plugins i have an approach but maybe there is a better one: - install the same dockers i used to have on the old system in the new system, use the same settings; - turn off docker - overwrite all the appdata folders that were created with new installs with the copies i saved in the array - start docker back up. I think I am correct that that will work right ? i aware that i could also just use old usb and license and a lot of this stuff will migrate automatically, it really want to start over. whats your thoughts ?

[Support] ich777 - Application Dockers
Cool ! I have the whole thing running now and it seems to do what it needs to ! One question though, is there any way I can "see" that the vpn is working ? Some kind of logging of sessions somewhere ? For all sense and purposes it is but it would be nice to see it..
-
[Support] ich777 - Application Dockers
Yep, its visible in the docker log you can view from the unraid page...

[Support] ich777 - Application Dockers
Think it works... I have to try and get Medusa to download something now 🙂 In the meantime the docker (openvpn-client) shootsan enormous amount of errors in the log: 2024-03-26 19:18:30 AEAD Decrypt error: bad packet ID (may be a replay): [ #5769721 ] -- see the man page entry for --no-replay and --replay-window for more info or silence this warning with --mute-replay-warnings I do not fully understand the man pages... Should I hide the warnings or is there something I should do about them ?

[Support] ich777 - Application Dockers
Found it... trying it at the moment...

[Support] ich777 - Application Dockers
Sorry but where do I place these settings ? In an environment variable in the docker config of the openvpn-client ?
