Docker: nsfminerOC (unsupported)

I have everything squeezed inside the Dockerfile, but I think I'll manage to shrink and add this in as well

You can't run this through the Dockerfile since you have to do this on every start/restart and the Dockerfile itself is static (more or less).

Thanks to @ich777 for the nvidia driver download script for complete driver version support.

currently working on it with a glass of rum&coke

  • I had the same issue. Try replacing repository with olehj/docker-nsfmineroc:latest

It will be executed more or less as you have it (script file), dockerhub is creating a build now, see if that works through.

I give up for now, the driver installs and detect versions etc. But nvidia-settings and nvidia-xconfig seems be be separated from the package, and I'm not into compiling these trough docker right now. So I just reverted it to default behavior, so drivers still have to match (at least slightly)

what's it mean when the logs say this and then the docker stops:
Failed to initialize NVML: Driver/library version mismatch

It means I have currently messed it up. Hopefully should be working soon again, and make sure the Nvidia versions matches as stated on the front page.

Should be 460.67 or else it won't work at all. Make sure you have the latest nvidia package, and maybe it require Unraid 6.9.1.

i'm on unraid 6.9.1, when i goto the nvidia driver package it says latest = v460.56 how do i update it to v460.67.

Plugin updates, then refresh the nvidia plugin page?

ah it wasn't showing an update at first but now it is, i've clicked update and need to reboot my server so we'll see once it's back up and running

ok the most it would let me update the nvidia drivers too was v465.19.01 and after that i updated the docker and when i start it i get:
Persistence mode is already Enabled for GPU 00000000:06:00.0.

Using X configuration file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf".

Treating as warning and moving on.

if i run nvidia-settings --help in the unraid terminal i get this btw:
nvidia-settings: error while loading shared libraries: libX11.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

It's a fault happening currently, I am not sure what it is as I have rolled back the docker version I had before I made some changes. It happened to me after a reboot.. not sure if something underlying happened with the nvidia drivers, or if it's something else.

There's no need to do anything just yet, lots of BS going on in the docker now for troubleshooting

Check for docker updates and install the new ones. Please report back if success or not, and which driver you are using. It is supposed to accept whatever driver you choose.

I currently made it running again with 460.67 with GTX 1070 + P2000.

Does this mean my 1050ti is useless?

Sadly yes, the memory requirements has surpassed 4GB memory. I will add that as a note at frontpage

When I saw that I started looking for how to change it to some thing else to mine, then saw no option. ;-(   Guess It's back to one of the apps that support ones that don't need 4gb.

does this mean it's now working for me:

Yes it works container and application wise. Now you should detect hashrates like the ones in green after the DAG file has been created, it might take some time depending on your GPU:
