iCarl
Received this error and was hoping for some guidance on what it means. "Your server has detected hardware errors. You should install mcelog via the NerdPack plugin, post your diagnostics and ask for assistance on the unRaid forums. The output of mcelog (if installed) has been logged" logs attached, any help is appreciated! icarlnas-diagnostics-20210331-2110.zip Quote Link to comment
Squid
Mar 31 13:19:54 iCarlNAS kernel: [Hardware Error]: Unified Memory Controller Error: DRAM ECC error. I think this is related to running a 1st gen Ryzen and isn't a big deal, but you may want to check for BIOS updates Quote Link to comment
John_M
It's not the processor, it's the BIOS. The CPU supports ECC but the motherboard doesn't and that part of the BIOS is broken. Update first to BIOS 3.40, then you can update further to 5.90, which is the latest and best choice for your 1600. Don't try to skip the 3.40 "Bridge" BIOS. Don't update higher than 5.90 unless you plan to change to a newer processor. https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/AB350M Pro4/index.asp#BIOS (Ignore the stuff about the VGA driver - that's just for Windows users.)
