Docker Image Size Discrepancy (SOLVED)

Featured Replies

Looking for some direction on this issue.

A while back I implemented some dockers that use a database backend, so when I got alerts for high image use I didn't think anything of it and increased the space.

I got suspicious when I received another alert this week that I was above 80% and checked the image allocation to find 30 GB!

Thinking the databases must have been increasing I checked and its small, really small yet I am using too much space?

What is going on that I'm missing?

Just adding this too, shows the backup of all dockers and its not 20+ GB

You can switch the docker tab to advanced view, see if there's any orphans in there which can be deleted.

Or delete the entire image and start it over again (painless and easy process),  Or switch the system to instead utilize a folder which doesn't have any inherent limitations on the maximum size it can grow to (except for the size of the drive it's on)
