rnormore
I have 3 1TB SSD drives and 1 2TB spinning drive. Would making my 2 TB spinning drive the parity drive slow down the performance of the 3 1TB SSD drives? Just trying to figure out the best configuration for my new install. Thanks Edited November 7, 2021 by rnormore Quote Link to comment

Thanks For writes you get the performance of the slower of the parity drive and any data drives in the array. This part of the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI gives you a description of the performance penalty introduced on writes by the way Unraid handles parity Quote Link to comment
trurl
Also note SSDs in the array cannot be trimmed. Quote Link to comment
