December 8, 20214 yr Community Expert Don't really know what the issue is or whether reinstall would help, but it can't make anything worse

December 8, 20214 yr Author I will, a little later today, unplug the server from the network and reboot it. That should eliminate anything triggering the ftp, correct? Would a flash problem trigger the ftp?
December 8, 20214 yr Community Expert It isn't clear that anything is using ftp. The entries in your log about that have the IP of localhost, so I assume they are just being generated by the FTP server starting up.

Is there a way to disable the ftp server in such a way that it is no longer - self enabled?
