I looked at the screen capture and it looks like the last few digits in Flash GUID are all zeros.  This typical of cheap no-name USB flash drives.  (Flash Vendor of "Generic" is typical of these no-name drives.) They do not have assigned unique serial numbers.  Therefore, any drive serial number with all zeros will be blacklisted.

You should be looking for a USB flash drive from a major Memory manufacturer.  A Drive from virtually any other source will be a rebranded drive from some other manufacturer.   Full size drives are preferred over micro drives.  Larger size =  Better heat dissipation = longer life.   USB2 drives are fine as the flash drive is only used for less than two minutes during the boot process and three seconds during shutdown.  A Quality drive is only a few dollars more than a piece of junk that will either be blacklisted or (most likely) fail in a few months!

In addition to @Frank1940's information, also note this PSA from LimeTech, which identifies problems with SanDisk USBs in recent times.

Sure, just copy the files to a new flashdrive.

You must always have a current backup of flash. I don't see any good reason to use another flash drive as a backup since it can't be used with your license anyway.

You can always download a zipped backup of flash from Main - Boot Device - Flash - Flash Backup. Or use the My Servers plugin to have it backed up to limetech (Unraid) cloud.

Hi,

I find that some USB drives which I'd used for (trial) Unraid installs don't work with the Unraid USB Creator anymore.

They show as blacklisted when I use the USB creator now, though they worked just fine earlier - why?

My licensed Unraid is now on another USB, which I am trying to compare performance with because I have slow boot times. Isn't there a way to manage this so we can reuse disks post trial for legitimate reasons?

Would appreciate feedback on how this can be addressed. It's a bit annoying to have to get another USB (?) just to test this.

Thanks

Did you get any feed back on this? I too have an old USB that I want to reload with a current unRaid so I can test a potato server to see if it will work with unRaid. But I too get this error. HELP.

No solution yet - I got tied up with work and didn't manage to get back to my server in the last few months. Hoping that I can get in touch with them over the next few weeks and get an Xmas reprieve on those USB drives. Have 3 now that have passed the end of trial before I could get any time to restore my Unraid 🤦‍♂️
