d3falt Posted June 13, 2022 Share Posted June 13, 2022 Hi all, I'm new-ish to the self managing of servers world. My disk started throwing this error after being offline for about 2 weeks. Rest of the disks are fine. When i try to run the self test, i keep getting the same host reset error. Attached is the test rests. Please let me know what i should do. d3falt Posted June 13, 2022 Author Share Posted June 13, 2022 It never completes @trurl. It shows the "Stop" button as soon as i hit "Start" and then 10-20 seconds later, it shows "Interrupted (host reset)". Quote Link to comment

trurl Posted June 13, 2022 Share Posted June 13, 2022 With that large disk it will take many hours and you may not see update on % for a long time if at all. Just let it run until it completes if it will. Quote Link to comment

It only updates every 10%, and since the check can typically take 1 - 2 hours per TB the extended check can take a long time to complete. Quote Link to comment

d3falt Posted June 14, 2022 Author Share Posted June 14, 2022 Ok update again, i took the array offline. Remove the disk from the assigned pool, started the array in maintenance mode without the disk in the pool, its now showing "Not Installed" in that slot. Now running the enhanced test, it seems to be running fine. Quote Link to comment
