gevsan
Hello. I have installed a new NIC card in my Unraid server. After the installation I couldn't connect to unraid GUI with the networkcable connected to my motherboard. So I tried to connect the networkcable to the new installed NIC-card and it worked. I think i got a error message "cannot find eth0" <- I think that this was the message.. Now. I removed the secondary NIC from the motherboard but I still couldn't connect to unraid GUI throught the motherboard NIC. I had to deactivate VT-x in order to get the unraid gui work again. My question is, how do i connect to my motherboard nic with VT-x enabled and have my secondary NIC set to eth1? The reason I want a secondary NIC is because I want to run my cctv cameras on a separated network. /Emil (Sorry for the spelling and poor word choises) Posted this in wrong forum? JorgeB
Pleas post the diagnostics, if you cannot access the GUI you can type diagnostics on the console. Quote Link to comment

I can access the GUI since I disabled VT-X in Bios. But right now I cannot remember if I removed the 2nd NIC from the motherboard or not... I will have to check and see if it's in when im home. tower-diagnostics-20220714-1011.zip Quote Link to comment

It will be put into the logs folder on the flash drive. You can either access that via Unraid or by temporarily plugging the flash drive into a PC/Mac Quote Link to comment
gevsan
Hey again. I finaly had a oppertunity to test this. I enabled virtualization in BIOS again and now I can connect to my unraid server again. So everything is fine All I did was to remove the new NIC. When the time comes and I need to reinstall the NIC I might run into the same problem. But that will be a new topic.. Quote Link to comment
rockbox948
@gevsan - It's interesting that we both ran into the same issue around the same time. This is my second attempt at trying to get the NIC to work. My thread. Edited August 15, 2022 by rockbox948 Quote Link to comment
