hawihoney
I no longer am getting temp for a few of my drives. can you take a look at my syslog and let me know? thanks Sorry for butting in. I used smartctl to find out if SMART is enabled on every drive. It seemed that several drives had SMART switched off. So I had to issue: smartctl -a -d ata -s on /dev/sdx for these drives (look at the devices pages to find the correct device name). After that these drives reported temperature. hawihoney
That worked .. Wonder how it gets turned off like that.. Glad I could help. I bought 12 identical brand-new drives - nearly 50% of them didn't report temperature. After issuing that command it's stable for several weeks now. Regards Harald Quote Link to comment
