Array disk usage wrong, showing less used than actual value.

Featured Replies

Hello, yesterday I set up my unRAID server and attached my only disk (4TB Red Pro) as the array disk. No parity, no other arrya disks.

I had 2 SSDs too, so I used them as two separate cache pools. I had no problems and worked my way through what I wanted. Then I shut it down.

Yesterday's used value on the array was near 1.5TB meanwhile today, after turning the server back on, the used value is 30GB. The files are still on the array, I can access and use them but they are not shown in the statistics.

Any idea why?

Thanks!

Not sure how the usage could be of by that much, df is reporting the same, what kind of files do you have there? Media type or more compressible files?

I have mostly media files (1.3TBs more or less), 100GBs of isos and some other file.

Even the reads and writes are wrong.

Strange, there's clearly more data on disk1, check filesystem on disk1 to see if there's any change.

No modify flag set

Forgot to mention, you must run without -n or nothing will be done.

Fixed. Used space is now 1.52TB, still low write and read.

Thank you, really. Glad you had time to help me out!
