go from mysql to mariadb

Rather surprising to me though they're suggesting switching as MySQL is the gold standard and MariaDB is a fork that is nearly completely compatible.

yea im giving photoprism a try and was getting a bunch of errors when adding photos on a new setup and was yelled at for using the latest mysql 8 which they said isnt supported because lack of users using it.

I am wondering if the comment--- "isnt supported because lack of users using it" -- is a statement about the photoprism developers.   I am getting update to the Burgy mysql Docker about every two weeks...

he appears to be the main git author for photoprism and said "We just don't have the time and energy to deal with all the problems MySQL has when only a few people actually use it."
