24Kings
I just got new SATA SSDs and installed them into my home NAS, after booting the BIOS did not show my drives. I tried various things to troubleshoot, but switching my SATA mode from RAID to AHCI allowed them to be recognized. Will this cause any issues when I make a RAID pool later? Quote Link to comment

Unraid usually won't support those hardware assist raid. 1 hour ago, 24Kings said: Will this cause any issues when I make a RAID pool later? No issue. AHCI, raw mode ... always correct. Thank you! I don't know why, but the MOBO manufacturer set the SATA Mode to RAID by default. -.- Quote Link to comment
