Confuse SMB shares (system)

Hi,

 

FixProblems discovered a problem with my System share

 

this share only contains my docker.img

 

I copied the docker.img to the directory /mnt/cache/system/ and erase the /mnt/cache/System/ folder.

After restarting the Array, the docker vDisk location is in /mnt/cache/system/docker.img,

 

but the /mnt/cache/System/ directory is recreated.


How can I fix this ?

I suspect you have something else configured to use the wrong case.

 

You could try running the command:

ls -l /mnt/*/?ystem

and hopefully the output of that will show where the issue originates.

That shows you have two copies of the docker.img file on the cache drive again.    You probably have it configured incorrectly at Settings->Docker.

Docker and VM Manager are configured to use the system share. Don't know how you created a System share.

 

What do you get from command line with this

ls -lah /mnt/user/System

You can use Dynamix File Manager plugin to delete all files from the System share, then go to the settings for that share and delete it.

You want to delete System, not system. Unraid is not confused. It is showing you the correct names. Your screenshot is showing the contents of System, the file you want to delete.

 

If you notice, the dates on the 2 different docker.img in the 2 different shares (system and System) are different. The System share is older and not being used.

 

Also, it won't let you delete the file in system because it is being used.

I deleted the file
/mnt/user/System/docker.img

and after the folder.

 

It seems okay...

You should be able to go to User Shares page, click on the System share, and delete it from there now that it's empty.
