WallaceTech
Hi guys. before i spend money. can anyone confirm that this drive bay will be ok with unraid. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Icy-IB-555SSK-Dual-Channel-Backplane/dp/B002BLZ8TO/ref=pd_sxp_grid_pt_1_2 Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
ohlwiler
That will work fine. It only provides power, cooling and quick access to the drives. As such it is transparent to any OS. That said, it supports SAS drives and SATA drives. Quote Link to comment

neilt0
You may want to read the very comprehensive review/comparison of the different 5in3s someone here put together. Quote Link to comment

Bit of a necropost but are there any good 5 in 3s available in 2023? Quote Link to comment

cinereus
Thanks. In case the person I was replying to does not see this, are there any affordable 3 in 2s? Also, if it's useful, I used to run that FatCage back in 2006 and it worked fine for me. Edited November 8, 2023 by cinereus Quote Link to comment
