ccal12 Posted March 20 Share Posted March 20 (edited) Today at 10:45am I received a Parity disk error notification. "Parity disk in error state". I ran a Read-Check on the array and it just finished with 0 errors. This is my first experience with a drive issue so I wanted to reach out for assistance if someone can talk me through next steps please. JorgeB Posted March 20 Share Posted March 20 Reallocated Sector Count is quite high, but they could be old, you can re-sync parity and keep monitoring the disk. Quote Link to comment

Plus Model Family: Seagate BarraCuda 3.5 (SMR) SMR for parity is not ideal. I would replace with CMR drive. Quote Link to comment
trurl Posted March 20 Share Posted March 20 You should see a SMART ( 👎 ) warning for that disk on the Dashboard page. Setup Notifications to alert you immediately by email or other agent as soon as a problem is detected. Quote Link to comment
