Cannot access Plex even though it is running on Unraid with no errors

Featured Replies

Sunday night I lost connectivity with Plex on my Unraid server.  The docker looks to be running and I don't have any errors. My other dockers such as Sonar, Radar, etc all seem to be working properly. I tried several courses of action with no luck:

1) Stopping and restarting the Plex application

2) Rebooting the server

3) Deleting Plex and re-installing with new Plex_Claim code

4) Reboot after re-install

5) Tried new Plex_Claim again

Still nothing.  Can anyone help me figure out the problem?

Did you lose local access via the Web GUI, remote access via the forwarded port or both?

Does Plex say it is accessible remotely?

For better support of a particular Plex docker application, you should post your question in the support thread for that docker application.

Can you access the Plex webUI?

Does the Plex icon in your Unraid webUI indicate it is started?

Click on its icon and select Logs

In the Plex webUI. What was the answer to this?

Since you have local access to the Plex webUI, does it appear to be working OK? Can you browse your media?

  • Author

No I cannot browse it at all.  It's like the Plex app cannot see my server.  Remotely, through VPN or directly

If you click on the Plex icon in your Unraid webUI and select WebUI, what happens?

This is what I see:

Select the Settings Icon in upper right corner:

Then on the left side, you should see a menu like this with Remote Access under Settings:

Could this be an issue that there are question marks next to Plex?

I don't think so.  My Plex installation is working perfectly and it also shows the question marks for Plex in docker allocations.

You have to select the setting icon (wrench) first in the upper right corner.  Your prior screen shot shows that is there.

You can go directly to the correct support thread for this container by clicking its icon in your Unraid webUI and selecting Support.

If you do, post a link there back to this thread.

@Matt k I have exactly this issue. Were you able to resolve it?

Two weeks ago everything was fine. I went on vacation and now I'm back and suddenly I have this exact same issue and no idea how to fix it. I've already restarted my Unraid server and (after that) the Plex Media Server and no change. It's baffling me what could be causing this.
