least my kids dont think i smart at anything lol

It’s alright I’ve decided to do the destructive testing. On the next main/stable release you should have a working reset order button that puts your containers and folders in alphabetical order.

The new container creation will work as per native unraid.

Just keep in mind, the folder/container order you see on the docker page will be your auto start order.

In the next release I've added some customisation to the dashboard page. You can thank @hernandito for the idea as I couldn't figure out what this page should look like. The classic option remains as

it has been a comical experience troubleshooting this with you. This is now much better aligned with unraid.
Enjoy!

2026.05.15
- Fix Reset Order button (was silently broken by FV3's request interceptor)
- Folders now sort alphabetically when no manual order is set
- VM tab Reset Order also fixed

lol ya..

ok ill go test it now.. and see how it goes.. i appreciate it.. always learn something new everyday (:

Just so you know what to expect...

If you click reset order you delete the userprefs.cfg which will then:

Containers: native Unraid alphabetical sort

Folders: FV3 layering folder names into the same alphabetical comparison

Autostart: FV3 mirroring the combined order

Create a new container: appears in its alphabetical slot. If you toggle autostart on, it lands at its alphabetical position in the autostart file.

Create a new folder: appears in its alphabetical slot by folder name. Its containers get pulled into the folder. Autostart members appear at the folder's alphabetical position.

As soon as you drag/re-order folders/containers you then create a userprefs.cfg which will then:
Containers: custom sort order

Folders: custom sort order

Autostart: FV3 mirroring the order as per layout.
Create a new container: goes to the top of the table. If you toggle autostart on, it lands at the top of the autostart file.

Create a new folder: goes to the top of the table. Its containers appear at the top of the autostart file until you drag/reorder to your preference.

ah ok ya i noticed once you resort and drag up then new ones get added at the top

testing now so far so good (:

not sure if its possible

you know how if you set folder views to advanced mode instead of default and then you can can click each icon to check off Auto start..

it be also good if possible to add it in the creation of folder

you have "Included" "Hide Preview" it be nice if there was a 3rd column for "Auto Start"

if possible if not thats ok figured id ask.. since its the only way to get the auto start to to be toggled if you either make it before you create the folder .. or if you choose Advanced.. and then switch back to default to keep it small profile

as the autostart for the folders doesnt toggle the dockers inside the folder to toggle on off for the autostart. but if not possible thats ok .. just something i noticed

and sorry if my sentences suck with my dyslexia it makes it hard for others to read sometimes.. when makes sense in my head..

Was wondering what you thought about or if it would even be possible to have the the icons for unstarted apps greyscale and started in full color like in the picture. Or perhaps just a red and green dot to indicate the current state.

nvm on my question earlier that down arrow beside folder names wasnt doing anything before and i thought just an icon for the hell of it lol

it drops down and i can change auto starts

always something i find couple other plugins i use you can click and doesnt do anything ... what its supposed to do or it glitchs but majority stuff works

All good mate.

It could be browser cache if you’ve come from another version of FolderView. Always best to delete browser history and cache if that’s the case.

If you select Icon + Label in the preview option it’ll show status but if you’re only using Icon I can probably repurpose the greyscale option that already exists in the folder settings to only greyscale stopped containers.

This is what Icon and Label looks like.

I’ll look into the grey scale option!

Maybe a silly question as I couldn't immediately find it, but how do you delete a folder if it was created by mistake?

From the docker page, click the folder icon and then "remove" image.png

Thanks. Darn now I feel stupid, never checked if I could click the folder icon itself.

Might be an idea to also have a Remove option on the edit folder page?

I can certainly look into that.

When preview is set to "Icon only", there's no way to tell which containers are started/stopped. Please correct me if I've missed an option somewhere. Assuming not, I have some suggestions for how this could be addressed:

  1. Optionally restrict "Add preview open WebUI" to only started containers (since stopped containers' WebUI link is dead anyway, don't bother displaying it)

  2. Optionally limit preview to started containers

  3. Optionally include state icon (started/stopped) in "Icon only" preview

Exactly what I envisioned. Thanks for the update.

Satus it's a great addition.

There is one more to go.

Currently Dashboard indicates if there is an update for any container in the folder, but Docker page does not.
Would be great if both could show it

Not a problem! Happy to be of service.

Hey @chodeus

Nice one for continuing this plugin.

Reaching out as clicking "Restart" on a Group of Docker containers on the Dashboard doesn't appear to work.

To replicate:

Head to the dashboard, click on a group of docker containers to display the list of options starting with "Expand".

Start, Stop, Pause and Resume all work.

Restart shows a brief red and orange loading icon, but none of the containers in the group are restarted as expected. No change.

For reference, in the Docker tab, clicking a group of containers then clicking Restart from the options works as expected.

A separate, small thing:

Pausing a group doesn't update the Group's status icon.

Click "Pause" on the same Group menu in the Dashboard.

The individual containers update to show the yellow pause icon as expected.

The group still shows the green play icon.

So the group's status icon no longer matches the current state of the containers within it.

Ideally the group's status icon would update to the pause icon, and back to play the play icon when clicking Resume.

For reference, clicking "Stop" on the group does update the group icon to the red square icon.

Thank you!

Awesome mate thankyou for the error report. I have fixed this with a few other things I noticed.

###2026.05.28

- Restart on a Dashboard docker folder now actually restarts containers

- Dashboard folder status icon now turns orange pause when every started container is paused, returns to play on resume

- Same pause-icon aggregation added to Docker tab and VM tab folder rows

- ReferenceError when triggering a custom action on a Dashboard folder configured with "Override default actions" (docker and VM)

- Restart no longer fires on stopped containers

- VM custom-action "Set Restart" mode now reboots running VMs

- Folder context menus now hide actions that wouldn't apply to any child (matches Unraid native per-container menu behaviour)
