jay964
I have used up the 6 sata ports on my motherboard. Time to expand. Can someone recommend a card for me? Things I want: 8 ports Fast Current Setup: Amd CPU Asus M4A78L-M LE 6 x 2tb WD green drives (ears) the motherboard has 1 x PCIe x16 1 x PCIe x1 2 x PCI Not really concerned about price. Would just like a solid controller that is fast. Quote Link to comment

marcusone
I believe the best card is the m1015 with that version of unraid (or the latest RC should work as well) Sent from my SGH-I727R using Tapatalk 2 Quote Link to comment

Why not just get a SuperMicro 8 port card? They are much more available on multiple sites. Quote Link to comment
Influencer
They are pretty common to find as a "working pull" and are rebranded cards, so generally cheaper. Just today I found a few on eBay for ~$50 Quote Link to comment
opentoe
Oh, ok. So money is the answer. I guess if you can find a card that performs just as well as the Super Micro for much less then that would be it. Quote Link to comment
jay964
So the supermicro cards are better than the IBMs? Quote Link to comment
marcusone
Matter of opinion. Currently the IBM work better with v5rc Sent from my SGH-I727R using Tapatalk 2 Quote Link to comment
