  1. Is it feasible to convert my unraid array to all SSD's now at all? Now that we have some really nice 2280 sized NVMe 4TB SSDs that are possibly obtainable is there a reason why this cannot happen? I have an 82TB Unraid box with 19TB free. It is real hard to see how fast these PCIe NVMe SSD's are and not using them in an all build for the speed and function. How is this feasible and can it be done with the current technology out there now? Does the Kernel support triming and zeroing out unused space and all that jazz. Right now in the immediate I do not use the mover command or have
  2. I have an Asus Sabertooth X99 mainboard with 32GB of memory and an Intel 3930k processor. I've had the Asus board running great with everything I put in it. This is not an Unraid build. I flashed my bios the other day and the new BIOS says I have an Intel 5930k. I can assure the world it is a 3930k, I still have the box. I loaded CPUZ utility that tells the user everything about their processor. Even that says Intel 5930k. What the heck? So I said to myself I'm going to back flash to the BIOS I had on on this board. After the flashing was done, still indicates I have an Intel 5930k. I've had t
  3. I guess WDC and Best Buy stopped putting these 10TB drives out with a $159 price tag. I really hope they start coming out again at that price. One negative with Unraid is when certain sized drives become less available their price goes up and you are forced to upgrade your parity drive (s) if you want more space. What a pain. Any shucking 10TB drives these days? They have 8TB externals for $139 all over. There's no shortage of 10TB drives, I guess someone caught on to shucking. Must be the 20000 videos on youtube.
  4. Thanks, I took care of it. Just removed the docker and put it back and the indexers/downloaders were still there.

    Hydra2

Hey people, how are you. I posted this in the Hydra2 support but it seems no one really even looks at that anymore. I made the Hydra2 docker and I love it. I was fooling around with adding usernames and stuff like that, but I just want to remove them all because I have a very limited options now. I'm wondering what data file is holding this data. Anyone?
  6. Someone added users in Hydra, and locked me out! Of course I have access to root, is there a way to delete all users and not have any?
  7. Even though this response is quite old it will probably help me if I write it down and save it, since some camera's are finniky and work different ways. Thank you!
  8. The noise cancellation is fantastic on the XM4. It also has a sensor inside the ear cup which tells the headset it is not being worn and turns itself off or power saving modes. Seriously thought if I couldn't get the XM4's for $278 I would not have bought them. There are just slight differences in how it wears on your head as well with much less bulk on the ear cushions too but feel just as good. I still have my XM3's for sale, some guy from Craigslist sent me a check for $2000 to buy them. It is that common check scam that goes around. I played with him a little bit then just dropped him.
  9. It finally came in. Craftsman told me it is such a popular item it is hard to keep in stock. They are selling on Ebay for a lot more then MSRP. I guess they are pretty rare. Been using it a lot lately and love the gyro feature. Screwing on network wall plates for a few hours makes it much easier.
  10. I have been waiting for a while for these drives to drop to $159. It seems only the 10TB are pricey and have no more sales at Newegg or Best Buy. I won't buy a 12TB because then I'd have to ditch my 10TB parity. Wonder why they pretty much disappeared at that price while most all other drives are at least on sale once in a while.
  11. All you need is this forum for any support. No tickets, no work logs, no queue. There are some users on here that know Unraid from the roots up. I've come here for help a hundred times and someone has always come to save me with nothing expected in return. Support for Unraid would be the least thing I would be worrying about.
  12. Yes I did. It probably isn't being manufactured anymore. I miss Craftsman one of a kind tools they use to have in Sears stores. Very unique tools that no one made before. Now they are like every other company all selling the same stuff.
  13. Wanted this gyroscopic screwdriver for a long time since I'm constantly taking cases apart, etc. For the life of me I cannot find one store that has it in stock. They sell it at Lowes and I checked over 20 Lowes, none. Anyone have any tricks? CRAFTSMAN 4V MAX Cordless Screwdriver (CMCF604)
  14. Sony's latest and greatest still ( I think ) noise canceling headphones for $278. That will be the lowest until Black Friday, if they even go down that low. Amazon Best Buy Crutchfield Target Lots of places selling them $278. I have the XM3, which is mint condition. I will sell that when prices go up again.
  15. Get another Unraid box. Any online backup service is geared for consumers or enterprise. There really is no between.
  16. I know exactly what you guys are saying but I'm thinking a little more ahead. 15 years ago users data probably was only saved where they live. Consumers I'm talking about. Now 15 years later thin about how much of that data never touch their computer. We will have the data that only controls our devices that access that data in the cloud. To turn it into a silly metaphor we will have all our drive maps, shares, even computer will all be running and accessed in the "cloud" without us even knowing it. It will happen.
  17. I'd love to see a roadmap. I know cloud based services are getting more and more popular, hey why not, throw our little USB 2.0 stick that boots our system and use PXE.
  18. Sorry- this can be moved into the appropriate section. Wasn't thinking straight! Eventually mechanical drives will be phased out. DVD's will be scarce just like the way of cdroms and track tapes. Is unraid going to continue development at this change in the industry? If I'm correct unraid is designed and writen for mechanical drives, correct? Eventually when it will be difficult to even find mechanical drives and SSD's are only available will unraid be ready to support an only SSD system? I read somewhere in the forums that the kernel doesn't support the trim function? Also, doesn'
  19. Months ago these babies were $159 all over the place. Amazon, Bestbuy, they all had back and forth sales. I'm waiting for the price gouging to stop and get back to reality so I can remove some of my older drives. I can't pay more then $159 for something that I've been always getting for that price. And these prices were all before the pandemic. I don't think there is a shortage of hard drive parts, just an abundance amount of greed.
  20. Has this been resolved at all? I know there is also a Speedtest-Tracker out there. Not sure which one is good to go for.
  21. This drive was $159 a lot of the time. I bought a couple of them. WD says the MSRP was $239 or something like that. Now these days the price is $199 and MSRP is $299. They just keep moving numbers all over the place to make their 'sales' look good.
  22. Sorry, just haven't had the time. I will get back.
  23. Apologize, thought you had the ability to look up cutomer's, etc. I found the GUID's and will boil it down to the one I broke.
  24. I have been using unraid since V3, so finding such old emails could be difficult. I believe I have 3 PRO keys. One of which is being used. One I bought as just a backup for no reason and one key I won from UNRAID when you guys had that "best question will get you an PRO license". I'm sure you guys have that info. Anyway, I'll see what I can find. Ok, I did find all the emails and the links to download them all. The download links seem to be working too. There is also an exchange between me and Tom about the key that I have won. Give me a few days to get all the data and if I can do
  25. How can I restore an UNRAID PRO license I had stored on a USB stick that I accidentally broke? I've tried reading it with multiple USB ports but stupid me tried to close the computer case and bent/broke the whole USB stick. This pro key wasn't currently used in an UNRAID system but was for testing and a possible second machine. I have no access to read the contents but I did see somekind of serial number on the metal of the housing. Photo attached.
