optiman
I'm running rc11 and Simple Features. I do not run nor do I want to run UNMENU. I want to install htop. Thanks to Joe, I now have the file, http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware-12.2/hardware/htop/0.8.3/htop-0.8.3-i486-1sl.tgz This is listed as a unmenu package. Any reason why I can't just put this in my Extras folder and put a install line in my Go file? And, is 0.8.3 the current version? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
trurl
According to this anything in /boot/extra/ gets installed automatically so no need to install in your go file. I haven't done this with htop but I do have some other things working this way. Quote Link to comment
optiman
Ya, after I unpacked the zipped file, I see I can just drop it in my extras folder. Thanks! I had just wanted to be sure it was dependant on Unmenu for some crazy reason. I also would like confirmation this is the latest version. Quote Link to comment
sureguy
The version of htop on my ubuntu server is 1.01 and I updated the server a couple weeks ago. From the file name I'd have to guess it's a little old. Quote Link to comment
optiman
You are right, after looking at the slaky.eu website, it has a date of Jun 2009. And, it't the only htop file there. Do you know where I can get the updated version that will work with unraid? Quote Link to comment
optiman
I found this link, and perhaps it's the latest version.... http://sotirov-bg.net/slackpack/search.cgi?slack=1337 The only question now, is unraid v5 rc11 a x64 bit os or 32bit? There are two files, so which one? Quote Link to comment

sureguy
This version appears to work fine on unRAID 5RC10 http://slackpack.ludost.net/packages/slackware-13.37/htop-1.0.2-i486-1gds.txz Quote Link to comment
optiman
thanks guys! Ya, that appears to be the same file I downloaded, just from another site. do you guys know if there is a plugin that will also show CPU temps? Quote Link to comment
optiman
installed, works fine. I guess the only way to use this app is telnet or console, no webgui icon or way to use browser, right? Sure wish it also had cpu temps. Quote Link to comment
