Setting console keyboard to national IT + unMenu File System Check on XFS

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

I'm new here... BUT I'm setting up a unRAID 6.0 server in these days.

I love this system and I'm doing a LOT of "search & test" before going production.

I've two simple questions for you (I've already used the "Search", but nothing found...  ???)

1) Is there a way to correctly map italian keyboard layout on main console (if I go by Telnet it is mapped fine, BUT if I go directly on the system, it's US mapped...)?

It seems there is no "loadkeys" command available...  ???

2) I've already found that unMenu is compatible with unRAID 6.0. Well. BUT, if I go with XFS file system, can I still use unMenu "File system check" on unMenu Array Disk Management?  ???

If (as I think...) this is no more possible (until an updated version of unMenu I think...), what is the best procedure to follow to do a file system check on XFS?

(Please explain it as if you should do to a 5 years old child...  ;D)

Thanx a lot! Great storage system!  ;)

I have this problem as well - all my keyboards are UK layout.  If I use ssh, my keymap is correctly set from the host system.  If I use IPMI, then the keymap is from the unRAID system and my simple brain gets confused.

It seems that my questions weren't so "simple" after al...  ::)

loadkeys is there:

root@unSERVER:~# which loadkeys
/usr/bin/loadkeys

Thank you! Shouldn't /usr/bin included in path? It didn't find it...

Is for me (or which would not be able to find it). Don't know why not for you.

root@unSERVER:~# echo $PATH
.:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin

I've doublechecked...

root@Tower:/# which loadkeys
which: no loadkeys in (.:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin
:/bin)

This is what I obtain in unRAID 6 RC3... clean installation.

What version have you checked?  ???

Same, version in my sig. If I drill down into bzroot I can see it isn't there though. Maybe it comes from NerdPack.

Confirmed. It's included in "NerdPack". Thanx a lot.  ;)

I think this command should be included in standard unRAID package anyway. Not all the world live in US...  ::)
