TheHell34
Hi all, Im planning to upgrade my NAS to a Unraid server but I want to know what the total drives you can assign with a Plus licence. On the website it says 12 drives data but how many for the cache? Or is the total 12 drives. Thanks in advance Link to comment
isvein
12 total, no matter if they are part of the array, cache or unassigned. Link to comment
Squid
Its a total of 12 devices. Devices include hard drives, card readers, dvd drives (if you're passing them through to a VM) and the like (basically anything that would be assigned a disk letter if you had them installed in a windows environment) To more exactly answer your question, 12 drives include your cache drive(s) and parity (but exclude your boot flash stick). So if you decide to make a cache pool of 2 drives, you'll have 9 data disks available and the parity disk Should be noted that version 6.2 is increasing the limit on the Pro licence (but not the Plus) to be up to 2 parity disks, 28 data disks, and 24 disks in a cache pool.
