it's not crashing on my machine (it's at least working :) ), however i don't have a ups attached

i released a new version, rolling back to the last known "good" state, but adding some logging.

i'd appreciate if you can refresh the mobile app then send me the (latest lines of the) log (/var/log/controlr.log)

cc @livefour2day @ToneDawgOG

cool !

isn't there a line, in the log, that starts with  "nuts: using address:" ?

Mine is still failing to work. Always shows as stopped even though I've un-installed and reinstalled multiple times including deleting the extra files from the plugins folder

The UPS status is not showing up and it seems like the Network UPS Tools plugin config can't be read

right, there seems to be some issue with the nuts config

W: 2024/08/18 13:43:49 nut.go:56: nuts: unable to parse config: (/boot/config/plugins/nut/nut.cfg). Using defaults ...
I: 2024/08/18 13:43:49 nut.go:76: nuts: using address: [email protected]

do you see anything out of the ordinary there ?

ControlR Server itself shows as stopped on the settings page. But oh my lord I just figured it out. NUT is now forked for unraid and the folder path is now /boot/config/plugins/nut-dw/nut-dw.cfg

hello all,

the ControlR plugin is now controlrd !!!

check the post in the plugin thread

this release enables quite a lot of improvements:
- Open Source: the controlrd plugin is now open source, with an AGPL license 🙌

- Access: the plugin api is now accessed via the Unraid url, no need to set a port anymore

- Versioning: no more "v" prefix for the version name

- Performance improvements

this will be paired with a change in the ControlR mobile app (to be released very soon), which will now have the following requirement
- If you access your server via SSL (https), the app will only connect to the `*.myunraid.net` URL, which is backed by a certificate provisioned via Let's Encrypt (certificate_bundle)

Finally, the current ControlR plugin will be deprecated

Hi Juan

Love the app and have used it for quite a while. On seeing a new plugin, I thought i'd start fresh, as below, and had the follow issue.

1) uninstalled the old controlr plugin

2) installed controlrd, enabling it and setting Provide UPS status to True.

3) Reinstalled the app on my android phone, version 6.6.0.

My unraid server is set up with a Let's Encrypt cert so it has a *.<GUID>.myunraid.net

When trying to add my server in the app using the QR code, it has the following error.

image.thumb.png.52599837d6ce79f82cf5d7a0d07f22f5.png

I am on the same network when trying to add the server to the app.

I could add the server in manually, but would really like to get the QR method to work.

Any ideas, or extra information you require?

Cheers,

Brock

I received an app update to v6.7.0 and have tried to add the server again via QR, but it still errors, although the error is different.

In the address (url) in the error message, it seems to have picked up the local WireGuard address. My proper local ip is displayed below the error though

thanks for the report !!!

ok, can you check the following

- do a

cat /var/log/controlrd.log

it will show the host (the *.myunraid.net url)

does that match the URL in the Settings > ManagementAccess page ?

let me know, to keep troubleshooting
