Issue instlaling plex plugin "parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found'

Featured Replies

I've searched the forum and I have found similar posts, but no clear solution.

Running 6.2 beta23. Some of the answers found were related to DNS resolution and network setup. Mine is pretty simple, no binding used. Single nic and static ip/dns assignment.

Any insight?

Sounds like txz files need to be installed manually.

installpkg PlexMediaServer-0.9.16.6.1993-5089475-x64-UnRAID.txz

Verifying package PlexMediaServer-0.9.16.6.1993-5089475-x64-UnRAID.txz.

Installing package PlexMediaServer-0.9.16.6.1993-5089475-x64-UnRAID.txz:

PACKAGE DESCRIPTION:

WARNING:  Package has not been created with 'makepkg'

Executing install script for PlexMediaServer-0.9.16.6.1993-5089475-x64-UnRAID.txz.

Package PlexMediaServer-0.9.16.6.1993-5089475-x64-UnRAID.txz installed.

And you would use "removepkg PlexMediaServer-0.9.16.6.1993-5089475-x64-UnRAID.txz " to remove a package respectively. Just stating the obvious while learning more about uNRAID.

Thanks.

Don't ever bother installing third party "plugins" (ie: the package listed on Plex's website for unRaid)

Fundamentally, there is only one plugin you ever need to install manually with unRaid -> (and I'll pat myself on the back here ) -> Community Applications

Once its installed, finding and installing plugins / docker applications is far far easier and trouble free.

There's a Plex Plugin listed (from PhAzE) and a couple different versions of Plex docker applications, and hundreds of other apps you can run.

That's what I figured.

Thank you.
