ashman70
Check out the deal, doesn't mention anything about warranty though. http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=16236&cl=res&utm_source=160804_email&utm_medium=email&utm_content=16236&utm_campaign=160804_thursday Quote Link to comment
jeff.lebowski
Final paragraph states five year warranty. Quote Link to comment
interwebtech
They are described as "pulled" drives so I doubt they have a fresh 5 year warranty on them. More likely whatever is left over if any at all. Quote Link to comment
ashman70
This describes what they mean by 'pulled' they are not used. What is a "pulled" hard drive? A "clean pull" hard drive is one that was in a pre-built desktop system that was built by a system manufacturer but did not sell. The hard drive has been pulled out of the system and re-packaged in static free wrap. Quote Link to comment

The warranty would be through the manufacturer or the pre-built desktop system. That being said, I have recently purchased a bunch of 2TB Ultrastars from a couple of sellers on eBay. They drives arrived in great condition. I'm running them in a large RAID10 array, so if a couple die, no big deal. I also bought a couple of spares. Quote Link to comment
ashman70
With the reputation Hitatchi has they should perform well beyond five years. If I lived in the sates I'd snatch some up. Quote Link to comment
