Hi all i have a question about vm and pxe

if i install windows on a vm is there a way i can pxe to it and use it as a desktop ?

sorry for my english

The term you are looking for is RDP, and yes that's the way many people use windows VM's.

pxe is for using remote storage to boot and run a diskless workstation. Not really what a VM does.

Why do you want to pxe boot?  You do not have to passthough an entire hard drive in order to set up a VM, so I'm thinking that its rather pointless if the pxe server is hosted on unRaid.

This is an old post which also happens to come on top on Google Search results. I have an unRAID server and a diskless workstation. I want it to boot a VM image. In 2018, is there any way to do this with unRAID?
