June 1, 20179 yr I have a tech friend building me a combo NAS & Media Server. See my hardware components description in the 'before buying unRAID' forum. My ID is Captmcnet. Attached is a jpg screen shot of the problem my tech person has encountered. He tells me that he has tried the installation several times, and it always stops at the same point.
June 1, 20179 yr The most common reason for failure to boot is improper preparation of the flash drive. Were the instructions for preparing the flash drive followed exactly?
June 1, 20179 yr Also read the motherboard and find out if there is a f-key that will invoke a 'Boot' menu. (This key is often displayed on a monitor during POST but if often flash by so quick that one can't read it.) Use that key and see if the USB drive is one of the choices. It may require going into the BIOS and carefully going thru the boot order and options to figure out what will work.
