August 25, 20178 yr Description: CentOS 7 does not boot after installation How to reproduce: 1. Download CentOS-7-x86_64-Minimal-1611.iso into the shared ISOs folder 2. Create a new VM from the CentOS template 3. Logical CPUs: default 4. OS Install ISO: CentOS-7-x86_64-Minimal-1611.iso 5. Memory: 4096 MB 6. Primary vDisk Location: Auto; Primary vDisk Size: 20G 7. Graphics Card: VNC 8. Create 9. VNC Remote 10. Install using automatic disk configuration & Reboot Expected results: To be welcomed by the CentOS 7 shell Actual results: Welcomed by the installation menu of the bootable ISO Other information: 1. Disconnecting the bootable ISO and rebooting prompts the UEFI Interactive Shell v2.1 2. Connecting the bootable ISO, jumping into the grub console and typing ls returns (hd0) (hd0,msdos2) 3. This used to be SeaBIOS but decision was made to change it to OVMF to better accommodate UEFI. Of course UEFI support really depends on your system itself.
