Log of what happened after a crash

Featured Replies

Server crashed this evening while I was away. There were some storms in the area, but a second server attached to the same UPS remained online. I know the main logs are written to a volatile filesystem. Is there a way to have one or more of those logs written to my flash drive, or is that too much write activity for it?

Anyway, system recovered on its own and another parity check was fired off. Only thing running at the time was a preclear (disk erase) on an old and unassigned drive.

Fix Common Problems plugin in Troubleshooting mode. You probably don't want to run it like that for long though. Have you been having crashes or was this just a one-time thing?
