November 15, 201015 yr Really? I went through 5 pages of spam. Even for a spambot, that's a LOT of spam! I guess it was only a matter of time until it found it's way to this board?
November 15, 201015 yr I'm sure once a moderator (do we even have any?) or Tom logs in, the posts will be removed.
November 15, 201015 yr I have reported a number of posts to the mod (with the link in the bottom right of a post). I also sent an email to Tom (Limetech) about what is going on and hopefully something could be done about it.
November 15, 201015 yr I had to go through 11 pages. Sort by"Started by" and it is easier. I use the stop form spam plugin on the sites where I use the SMF forum software.... it has been 99.9% effective. http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1519
November 15, 201015 yr Considering there's at least 6 of us here every single day and have been for as long as I can remember Tom just needs to hand out some mod powers with a instruction of "just for spam". TBH i am surprised we dont get spammed more often

TBH i am surprised we dont get spammed more often Could not agree more!! I sent an email off to him about doing such a thing (giving some Hero members mod ability). I saw the spam right away and was for a while trying to report it as it happened. As soon as I saw it was not going to stop I quit doing that and sent the email to Tom. Had I had mod rights I probably could have stopped the spam after about 20 posts tops.
