NewDisplayName
Ive found the easy and fix solution. Just go to Internet Explorer -> Extras -> Security -> local intranet -> sites -> advanced -> enter the ip from your unraid share (like 192.168.0.1) DONE! Ofc you could also use authentificated access (user and password for SMB, then this also should not come up) But since i dont use that, it was very annoying, this easy fix works perfectly, thought i share it here! Frank1940
Where you accessing your WebGUI or a file (unusual to be using IE for this) when you were getting the message? I would tend to expect this type of message when you were accessing the server's WebGUI as that is where I would expect this message to come from. What version of Windows are you referring to? If Win 10, what variety (home, pro, etc) and version (1809)? Edited November 14, 2019 by Frank1940 Quote Link to comment
NewDisplayName
Like i said, via SMB. Dont ask me why you need to add it in the internet explorer, but it works. Quote Link to comment
John_M
What kind of files cause that "annoying" message? Executables? Application installers? Surely not regular media files. I wouldn't run an executable file across the network anyway so I'd be pleased that the warning message had popped up to tell me that I'd double clicked the wrong file. Quote Link to comment
morreale
In windows 10/11. Simply search for Internet Options (or Internet Properties) I simply add my server's IP but you can add the entire range. Edited February 11, 2022 by morreale Quote Link to comment
