Maarty
I have the same problem after upgrading to 6.8. But my syslog did not show anything after basic services. I can log by SSH. I did the same with /boot/plugins files (moving to other place) and reboot but without success. There is an end from syslog: Dec 16 15:24:21 Data ntpd[1839]: Listening on routing socket on fd #20 for interface updates Dec 16 15:24:21 Data ntpd[1839]: kernel reports TIME_ERROR: 0x41: Clock Unsynchronized Dec 16 15:24:21 Data ntpd[1839]: kernel reports TIME_ERROR: 0x41: Clock Unsynchronized Dec 16 15:24:21 Data acpid: starting up with netlink and the input layer Dec 16 15:24:21 Data acpid: 1 rule loaded Dec 16 15:24:21 Data acpid: waiting for events: event logging is off Dec 16 15:24:21 Data crond[1860]: /usr/sbin/crond 4.5 dillon's cron daemon, started with loglevel notice Dec 16 15:24:21 Data root: Installing user plugins Dec 16 15:24:21 Data root: Starting go script Dec 16 15:24:28 Data ntpd[1839]: receive: Unexpected origin timestamp 0xe1a290ac.475a230e does not match aorg 0000000000.00000000 from [email protected] xmt 0xe1a290ac.7fe7e61e Dec 16 15:24:28 Data ntpd[1839]: receive: Unexpected origin timestamp 0xe1a290ac.4755d3a4 does not match aorg 0000000000.00000000 from [email protected] xmt 0xe1a290ac.8ae6a9cd And there is ps ax to show that nginx is not started: PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND 1 ? Can you get diagnostics? OK, I will manage diagnostic this evening and the safe mode too. I will let you know. Quote Link to comment

OK, so safe mode does not help. In start on the connected monitor I can see starting Samba as a last call. There is a diagnostic in the attachement. tower-diagnostics-20191217-1537.zip Quote Link to comment
Maarty
One additional info, the last info on the screen during the startup is not Samba starting, but "unknown option" And, if I try to run /etc/rc.d/rc.nginx I get an error: [alert] could not open error log file open() "/var/log/nginx/error.log" I have checked the /var/log and this is empty. Squid
in your "go" file (config folder on the flash drive) you've got /usr/local/sbin/emhttp -p $port & This should simply be /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & If you need to change the port, you have to do that via Settings - Management Settings 1 Quote Link to comment
Maarty
Thank you very much Squid, it was the problem. I don't understand because I made this change before the upgrade and I think it was functional. Quote Link to comment
