sdamaged
running a server 2019 VM using Ryzen 5 3600, assigned 3 logical cpu cores and 16GB RAM When i start up the VM, the entire unraid server locks up, and all 12 threads are maxed out. It looks like the main virtual machine image is the issue, but i have no idea why its just started doing this Any ideas? Link to pic below thanks Quote Link to comment
sdamaged
Any ideas guys, this is killing my server? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Please post the diagnostics: Tools -> Diagnostics Quote Link to comment
sdamaged
I think i might have figured this out, it looks like when the Ark server performs an auto save, it compressed the file which maxes out the CPU Although this really shouldn't happen, when the VM is only allocated a few cores - it shouldn't max out the host CPU entirely Quote Link to comment
testdasi
While the CPU are maxing out. Tools -> Diagnostics -> attach zip file on your next post. Quote Link to comment
sdamaged
I'll try to, but to be honest it locks the server up so bad, you can't even change tabs! I had to physically push the power button last time Quote Link to comment
Stan464
+1 for also running into similar issues! not this bad but enough to kill a Virt NIC sometimes which requires a reboot of my VM. Quote Link to comment
