jonasdegent
Does this card require to be flashed to IT mode? Can't seem to find the answer it on the forum. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
No need to flash, it's IT mode only. 1 Quote Link to comment
jonasdegent
So it should work just out of the box? Quote Link to comment
jonasdegent
Just one more question: anyone know if the cooling in a 4U Inter-Tech case (3x120mm fans blowing over the motherboard) will be sufficient enough to cool these cards? I can imagine hooking up 16 drives to it will get it hot. Quote Link to comment

I can imagine hooking up 16 drives to it will get it hot. Depends on the ducting and fan placement. Air won't flow if it isn't forced, so if the air can get past without flowing over the heatsink there could be a dead spot that gets too warm. Most rack mount cases have pretty good airflow, but you should check the temperature after running to be sure. Keep in mind that airflow changes drastically with the case lid on or off, so be sure to check after normal running conditions and not open on the bench. 1 Quote Link to comment
k0d3g3ar
Anyone know the max SATA drive size per drive unit attached to this or the 9400 8I here? 18TB OK? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
There's no limit, at least for current and near future disk sizes. Quote Link to comment
