May 10, 20206 yr Hello, I experienced a power outage at my home. Causing my server to hard shutdown ungracefully. I got everything turned back on and working. The Parity check completed but then I got a read error on my Parity Disk. I am looking for confirmation on how bad is this do I need to swap disks? I have attached my diag log as well as screenshots of the error. Thank you for your assistance. raid-diagnostics-20200510-1001.zip
May 11, 20206 yr Community Expert Almost certainly a disk problem, you can run an extended SMART test to confirm.
May 12, 20206 yr Author Thank you @johnnie.black for your response! I ran an extended test: How do I actually get the report? I can attach it if needed Edit: Attached smart report raid-smart-20200512-1153.zip Edited May 12, 20206 yr by ssjucrono
May 12, 20206 yr Author Oh, I am using the onboard SATA Ports on the motherboard? That doesn't sound good?

Sorry, got my threads mixed up, the problem was almost certainly caused by the disk, it still has some pending sectors, but since the SMART test was successful it's fine for now, you can re-sync parity, pending sectores should also go to zero after a full disk write, but if you get more errors in the near future best to replace it.
