ssjucrono
Hello, I experienced a power outage at my home. Causing my server to hard shutdown ungracefully. I got everything turned back on and working. The Parity check completed but then I got a read error on my Parity Disk. I am looking for confirmation on how bad is this do I need to swap disks? I have attached my diag log as well as screenshots of the error. Thank you for your assistance. raid-diagnostics-20200510-1001.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Almost certainly a disk problem, you can run an extended SMART test to confirm. Quote Link to comment

I can attach it if needed Edit: Attached smart report raid-smart-20200512-1153.zip Edited May 12, 2020 by ssjucrono Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
It completely successfully so most like a controller issue. Quote Link to comment
ssjucrono
Oh, I am using the onboard SATA Ports on the motherboard? That doesn't sound good? Quote Link to comment

Sorry, got my threads mixed up, the problem was almost certainly caused by the disk, it still has some pending sectors, but since the SMART test was successful it's fine for now, you can re-sync parity, pending sectores should also go to zero after a full disk write, but if you get more errors in the near future best to replace it.
