DigitalDivide
I had a second drive laying around and popped it into my server to use as an unassigned device. I have one already in my server. It comes up as a mountable drive but when I try to mount it, it doesn't mount. Can I only have one? Is there something else I need to do? Quote Link to comment
dlandon
You can have more than one UD drive. Post the diagnostics zip file. Quote Link to comment
DigitalDivide
I think the drive might be bad. I took it out and popped it into a windows machine. Drive doesn't show up....I would assume that means it's bad right? Quote Link to comment
DigitalDivide
My mistake. I got in in windows, removed the partition and formatted it as ntfs and put back into the server. Booting now Quote Link to comment
DigitalDivide
Ok it mounted. Just a quick question. SHould I leave it as NTFS or make it xfs like my other unassigned disk? If I do want to change it to xfs how do I do that? Now I'm wondering if I can just add it to the array and it will prompt me to format it. Once it's formatted, I can then remove it from the array and make it an uassigned disk....Will that work? As well, the disk shows as /mnt/disks/New_Volume can I change the name from New_Volume to something else? I'd like it to read DelugeTorrents when I'm browsing my disks.
