trurl
What do you get from the command line with this? ls -lah /mnt/user Quote Link to comment
isrdude
I've been searching everywhere today and understand at some point I need to enable mover but the configuration, for now, must be off since we can't create the default appdata storage location in cache. I can't help but think I've overlooked providing something to you to figure this out as I'm perplexed at this point Quote Link to comment
isrdude
I was right, simple. Have Docker set up per your instructions. I was inputting: /mnt/cache/appdata when I should've, per the built in help put it in as: /mnt/cache/appdata/ Trailing / made the difference Quote Link to comment
isrdude
would this be a good time to set appdata share from only to prefer, stop docker, then initiate mover? Quote Link to comment
isrdude
GREAT NEWS!!! Now the only FCP warning I have is the other one: Share cache is identically named to a disk share Quote Link to comment
trurl
Let's get to the bottom of your user share named "cache" first. That screenshot you just posted does seem to indicate a folder named "cache" in the user shares, but it has the wrong permissions. I am beginning to suspect it doesn't actually exist on any disk, but that you somehow accidentally created it by specifying the path /mnt/user/cache somewhere. What do you get from the command line with this? ls -lah /mnt/user0 and this? ls -lah /mnt/cache Quote Link to comment
isrdude
here you go. I don't remember creating anything along those lines but it's certainly possible I did when setting up cache and forgot to get rid of it. Quote Link to comment
isrdude
when I use MC, I see cache under user and user0. Both have plex-media-server under them, same size and same date as well Quote Link to comment
trurl
Go to Main - Array Devices. At the far right is a column that says View, with folder icons below it, one for each array disk. Clicking on the folder icon for a disk will show the folders on that disk. Do that for each of your array disks and see if you can find a top level folder on any array disk with the name "cache". isrdude
found it....disk8 Quote Link to comment
trurl
If it doesn't have anything in it you want delete it. Quote Link to comment
isrdude
I should be so lucky...of course it does....plex-media-server....exactly what I saw with size and date from a moment ago, dang it. I'm guessing I'm going to be losing what I had with plex and will need to set it up all over again from scratch Quote Link to comment
isrdude
I went to the array folder view and it shows a folder but nothing in it. I'm going to cross my fingers and delete the cache folder on disk 8. Quote Link to comment
trurl
According to your earlier screenshots, your Plex-Media-Server and all those other plex libraries were in the Media share. What do you get from the command line with this? ls -lah /boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user Quote Link to comment
isrdude
Cleared the last error in FCP! We are clean and green now!!!! Quote Link to comment
trurl
So do you still have a Plex-Media-Server folder in your Media share? Quote Link to comment
isrdude
Interesting that some of the plugins I already got rid of are listed with XMLs..Diskspeed, google photos, boinc, dupeguru, folding at home, intel gpu, foldingathome, speedtest, krusader Quote Link to comment
trurl
None of the things in /boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user are plugins. They are the templates that contain the settings for your dockers. You can reinstall any of those docker exactly as they were because you have those templates. OK, let's go on to this: 49 minutes ago, isrdude said: would this be a good time to set appdata share from only to prefer, stop docker, then initiate mover? Did you already start docker? If so, post new diagnostics just so I can check how it is configured now. Quote Link to comment
isrdude
Yes I did once I made that tweak...here are diagnostics tower-diagnostics-20200618-1246.zip Quote Link to comment
trurl
OK, that looks good. And your appdata is already all on cache so nothing needs done about that. You need to move that Plex-Media-Server folder from the Media share to appdata so it will be in the right place for reinstalling Plex. But don't actually install any dockers yet. We need to take them one at a time and see what needs changing in their setups. Quote Link to comment
isrdude
sooooo, physically move it via mc or use mover? Quote Link to comment
