VM taking Unraid Gui IP

Featured Replies

I just created a windows VM on my unraid server, but everytime the server boots it goes directly to the VM (despite having auto start off) and i can no longer access the unraid Gui due the IP being used by the VM. The only way i can recover from this is unplugging the drive where the VM is installed on and rebooting forcing the VM not to start. In fact i can't access any of my shares. It's as if unraid just disappears when the VM starts.

If anyone can help it will be highly appreciated.

Are you sure Unraid is booting and not

Go to your motherboard BIOS and make sure your Unraid USB stick is first in the boot order while the windows hard drive is installed. Many BIOS try to "help" you by setting newly installed drives as the first boot device.
