Rajahal
What? As best as I can figure out, you are asking if an Intel CPU will work in an AMD motherboard. The answer is no. Link to comment
PeterB
No, I think the question is whether one of the new, second generation, Core i systems (with Socket 1155 cpu) will run unRAID. I suspect that the answer will be yes, but until someone actually tries it ...... Link to comment
StevenD
Well, I just tried with an ASUS P8P67 Pro and i7-2600K with my spare unRAID flash drive and I couldn't even get to boot from the USB. Ill try building a new flash drive and see how it goes. Link to comment

Hmmm .. is that because you weren't able to configure it to boot from usb, or it tried to boot, loading the images, and then failed? Link to comment
StevenD
It would never attempt to boot from my second unRAID drive. I put in my Acronis USB and it booted just fine. I wonder if my unRAID drive has gone bad. Ill try loading a fresh USB key tonight and seeing what it does. Link to comment
StevenD
Well, I formatted a new flash drive and it boots. However, 4.6 doesn't seem to support the Intel NIC on my board. Link to comment
prostuff1
Well, I formatted a new flash drive and it boots. However, 4.6 doesn't seem to support the Intel NIC on my board. Send an email off to LimeTech with a note about the NIC on the board not working. There may be an updated Intel driver out there that can be included in the next version. Link to comment
BRiT
And the new NICs might be supported in the 5.0 beta 3 series as it includes a new Slackware distro base and a new Linux Kernel base. Link to comment

StevenD
It's an Intel 82579V. Ill throw a 5.0 beta at it this afternoon and see if it works. Link to comment

The 5.0 beta 2 is still based on nearly the same Slackware distro and Linux Kernel as the 4.6 series. Link to comment
