amateur_wizard
I changed the SMB info here with the extras option. Now the server won't boot properly. I'm able to get a webterminal but that's it. I would like to know how to undo this. I'm kinda at my wits end with this, I've rebooted almost 20 times just today. Any help is welcome Edited August 25, 2020 by amateur_wizard Quote Link to comment
trurl
Seems unlikely that change would cause your symptoms, but you can delete config/smb-extra.conf from flash. 7 minutes ago, amateur_wizard said: able to get a webterminal What do you mean by "webterminal"? 8 minutes ago, amateur_wizard said: I've rebooted almost 20 times just today What did you try between reboots? amateur_wizard
I put it back to how it was and it's running again. By webterminal I just mean using the terminal from another machine through a browser. It comes up as <ipaddress>/webterminal/. I thought everyone called it that. Now however I am getting "Unmountable: Unsupported partition layout" on the cache disk. I have tried formatting it multiple times. Even when it says 'success' it comes up as un-mountable Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
Not seeing any format attempt, if you rebooted since you need to try again then post new diags. Quote Link to comment
amateur_wizard
I stopped the array and formatted it to XFS twice last night. It said success but came up as unmountable. However, I just clicked the format button again with the array running and it worked, formatted it to BTRFS. Thanks for the help, it probably looks like PEBCAC. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
There would be a reason for the format failing, but as long as it's fine now. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
P.S. I have an Intel 600p NVMe device that won't format with latest xfs, it does format with btrfs or older xfs, I see you have a Samsung so probably not the same issue. Quote Link to comment
