Have a Blackscreen... I installed the newest Version with force update.

After applying new update, Digikam came back.

I've tried using the suggested single database (selecting defaults fills the 4 databases with the name digikam) and I just tried naming them separately by using digikam_core, digikam_face etc...

 

The database connection test passes, and database tables are created, but then I get  the message.

 

 

 

My latest attempt did create tables in digikam_core the other ones blank (digikam_thumbs, digikam_face, and digikam_similar).  When I used the same db "digikam" for all 4 database the same 20 tables were created.

 

 

 

This is not a docker issue.  I had the same issue.  I have thousands of photos and video and wanted to use MySQL (MariaDB).

 

I tried to install Digikam on my Windows VM and I get the same error. It looks to me like its a Digikam issue. 

Anyone has an issue with digikam right now ?

Probably too late to help you, but the solution to that is to type in 'digikam' without the quotes, and being slightly patient as it is launched.

 

Unfortunately launching it that way, leads to a tiny window with digikam opening, since Guacamole for some godforsaken reason assumes window size should remain static, and squashes digikam into the same window size as a terminal window. I found some sort of way to fix that, but unfortunately it's been long enough by now, that I've forgotten how I did it.

Umm.. is this docker container meant to actually work?

Using default settings OOTB, web page open with black screen.

Changing to bridge mode, get a black screen with a white circle.

Mouse click just bring up a "Failed to close file descriptor for child process (Operation not permitted)... huh.

Hello, whenever i want to start face detection Digikam instantly closes/crashes.

In the logs i dont get any errors.

 

Best place for support on all LSIO containers is their discord (it's the top selection when you click on it's icon to bring up the support options)

This is output of my digikam log.

Additional, my GUI does connect. It shows a bank page with "Cannot GET /"

 

I am sure it is an easy solution, but need help to solve.

 

I am running 6.12.3

I am running Unraid 6.12.10 (latest stable)

 I have the Linuxserver docker 'digikam' installed from the Unraid Apps for some time.

 

Now I wanted for the first time to use the Digikam Panorama creator under tools in Digikam - this functionality is based on the hugin panorama photo stitcher. Unfortunately the binaries for the photo stitcher is are not included in the Docker, so digikam doesn't have this functionality with the Linuxserver docker.

 

What can be done to include the missing binaries ? May be in the next docker release ?

 

Or: Can the functionality be manually added when the linuxserver digikam docker is already installed in Unraid ?

In that case, can some linuxserver expert please explain step by step to a simple user (not programmer), what needs to be done ?
