JoNBoYuK
I log into my unraid box today and got 32 errors notification of one of my drives granted its a over 5 years old so not bad imho and I am going to replace the drive anyway however how bad is this drive? Last SMART test result: Completed without error WDC_WD60EFRX-68MYMN1_WD-WX11D4448803-20201007-2309 disk2 (sde).txt Quote Link to comment
trurl
SMART looks OK to me. Probably something else is the cause of those errors. Bad connections are more common than bad drives. Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
You should also run an extended SMART test, since there are recent UNC @ LBA errors. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
Give it another chance but anymore errors recommend replacing. Quote Link to comment
JoNBoYuK
gonna replace anyway 1 error is enough to replace a drive imho might be over kill but just like to learn what is wrong with it so i know for next time SMART Extended Self-test Log Version: 1 (1 sectors) Num Test_Description Status Remaining LifeTime(hours) LBA_of_first_error # 1 Extended offline Completed without error 00% 50076 - EDIT: from the logs before can you see what is wrong with the drive by the errors? JorgeB
I can only see that they are logged as "medium errors", aka bad sectors, but these can sometimes be intermittent. Quote Link to comment
