  1. @trurl @Squid OK, Thanks Guys. I'm sure it said on the manual page that it was min 2GB RAM and 1GHz CPU. But, Yeah its right there on the Download page 4GB RAM I guess I'll go check eBay... Thanks again Guys.
  2. @trurl No, Its on its own Vlan with just my laptop, and I've only got one browser (Brave) and one tab open. @Squid Emergency notifications turned ON doesn't make any difference.
  3. @Squid Sorry for the delay, I noticed that the array was switching between 'Started' and 'Undefined' and assumed there was a H/W problem and started looking into that. But it turns out it only starts to switch after CA is installed AND fails to start. (Just to confirm, having CA installed its fine. Its only after I try to access the 'Apps Tab' that the array starts switching) Here are the files you asked for, I hope they are OK. As they didn't want to download with the array switching. p.s. I side loaded a few plugins from my main server (Temp and Fan Speed) they seem to work as expected CA-Logging-20230216-1254.zip bim-server-diagnostics-20230216-1253.zip
  4. @SquidOK, I'll see what I can do when I get home tonight.
  5. @SquidAs I said I'm trying to repurpose some old server H/W. As such this is a clean install of Unraid (hence using a Trial Key) There are no Dockers or VMs setup or running, and theres no Apps/Plugins installed due to CA not installing/working. All I've done is install the HDD's and USB drive, booted into Unraid and started to configure the array and network. Next step was CA to get a few plugins, which has failed. I've tried a different USB and HDD drive but had the same results. The server uses ECC RAM of which I don't have any spare to swap out, but it passes the memory test on the Unraid USB.
  6. Hi, I'm trying to repurpose my old HP Proliant MicroServer N36L I'm using the latest version of Unraid 6.11.5 (Trial Key) Everything seems to be fine on the H/W and OS side. The problem comes after I install the Community Applications plugin. Once its installed, when I go to the Apps tab I get this pop-up error: And after I clear the error, I get this displayed on the Apps page: I've tried Rebooting the server, Un and Re installing the CA plugin, Reloading the browser (Brave), Two other browsers (Firefox and Edge) and accessing from a different PC. But all have the same result. Any ideas about whats going on
  7. @rorton, I was looking for something like this a while back, never got any answers on here. Best solution I found was to create a VM with the settings I needed. Then before starting it for the first time, go to Edit -> XML View. And copy all the XML code and save it somewhere safe. Next time I needed a new VM Hit the 'Add VM' button, choose 'Custom VM' paste in the XML code and click Create. I sometimes had to edit the VM name or ISO image file. Hope it helps.
  8. @unuser Did you find a workable solution to this problem?
  9. Hi guys, I hope this is the best place to post issue, although it appears to a bug. Its with QEMU not Unraid. But I'm hoping someone can help me out I just upgraded my Unraid server from 6.9.2 to 6.10.3, and all was well until I tried to start some older Windows VM's which are using the '-acpitable' argument in the .xml files. On start I get this error: ERROR:../hw/acpi/aml-build.c:61:build_append_padded_str: assertion failed: (len <= maxlen) After a google search I found this page: https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/issues/786 Which appears to have a solution to the error. My problem is, I have no idea what Igor Mammedov's solution says, does, or how to implement it. Has anybody here got the skills to understand it and the crayons to explain it to me. Or is there a way to downgrade the version of QEMU that Unraid is using to QEMU 6.1.0, which doesn't have the issue. Thanks in advance.
  10. Hi, Unraid newbie here, trying to figure out how to get things working... 😕 I've made a few VM's for testing out different setups. Each one has some modifications to the XML. My problem is every time I edit the VM I lose the XML edits. Is there anyway to save the modified XML as a template ? In Proxmox and VMWare I was able to edit the XML once the VM was created and it stayed through hardware changes. But I can't seems to find the VM XML files in Unraid. All help would be appreciated.
  11. Hi, I came here looking for an answer to this exact problem. My test H/W is a little different: Optiplex i5 7010, 16gb RAM with HP Quad port server NIC. pfSense is not seeing any of the NIC's when passed through, but Windows 7 Pro is. I also removed the quad card from the PC and tried using just the builtin Intel NIC, but in my case pfSense doesn't see the br0 or the virbr0 NIC's either. I'm using using pfSense 2.4.4.iso and Unraid 6.8.0 trail, both downloaded today.
