  1. If i manually save the smart controller type for one drive of the array, each time i set it on the next one, the controller type on the one before resets to default. I alrady klickt on the "standard" button to reset all values and tried again. For my hdd's i can use: SAT & HP CCIS As i stated, i just upgraded from 6.9-rc2 to Stable. Before the Update i was able to save the settings. thebeast-diagnostics-20210302-1159.zip *** Update *** After fiddeling with those settings i ended up with: I tried it again and can confirm, that the content of smart-one.cfg is replaced instead of combined.
  2. What's up @limetech are you guys still alive? Any heartbeat? 😁
  3. Does this only apply to the 410i? I've a gen 8 with a 420i and could run the drives normally with SAT or hp cciss driver, no problems at all... Is the 410i so much different thannthe others?
  4. I was not able to get disgnostics, as the server gets unresponsive, because it doesn't finish and stays forever on collecting.(both, webgui + console) I could only get the Systemprotocol with repeating Kernel Stacktrace... Protocol < NoPaste Any ideas? Greetings Dark
  5. For me it's still relevant, as i don't have a VLAN active and it worked all fine brfore RC1...
  6. The next time it happens I'll plug in a keyboard and monitor right away and try to get a diagnosis... Hopefully the console would be responsive.
  7. I thought it was solved, but it's back again in RC2.
  8. Hey guys, lately i had two Unraid-Server hung ups... First time it was in RC1 and second time just now. I was noch able to recover from this Problem and had to Hard-Reset the machine. Symptoms: WebGui was somewhat freezing. Through console no more htop could be executed. I was able to look start top, for ~10 secs before host wasn't reachable. Ther was a kworker task, powersave_event or somtehing, that was taking up 100% CPU. As i wrote above, than the host could not be reached anymore. Therfore i was not able to get any Diagnostics. But since RC1 i'm seeing an ACPI Warning in the protocol, that wasn't there on the last Beta. Dunno if it's related or anything. I'm so sad i wasn't able to get any Diagnostics before the Server Wasn't reachable anymore... Luckily i was able, because of iLO, to paritally initialize the shutdown, before i had to Hard-Reset. The -> Forcing Shutdown stayed for an hour before i Hard-Resetted. I have no clue where the problem does come from. But it clearly started with RC1 for me. No hardware change or anything else before upgrading to RC1 and RC2. The last time i had to hard reset my btrfs on the Cache drives got damaged, regardless of raid1, i was not able to recover it. I don't wanna get filesystem errors again, but it could come in again, if you have to Hard-Reset the Unraid-Server... Any ideas? P.S. I double checked all Hardware, but all is working fine P.P.S. Event if it won't give any new information, i've attached the diagnostics after server restart Greetings Dark thebeast-diagnostics-20201220-2234.zip
  9. Added diags Tom 🙂 I also got a Stacktrace in logs now, dunno if anything is related. https://nopaste.xyz/?5990e0c2fafd1ce7#6fi3fQWdQE5buGqCyfaHGsBnQzGMndknZrtqbemc7AAn Don't get confused if any smartdata is in logs, the values are ok, i had a bad usb dock one time, but now all hdds used internally.
  10. Thanks for your reply, but please ppl stop asking those questions. There's No reason using smart data with spun down disks and as you can see, console smartctl is showing smart data. So guess what? Disks not spun down... @SimonF Made my day 😂👍
  11. Since the RC1 and the... i get no more smartdata displayed if i eg. select controllertype sat. @limetech This is a reminder, so it gets considered before we enter final. Greetings Dark thebeast-diagnostics-20201219-1646.zip
  12. Heyho, since RC1 i get the docker Update-Search timeout error. This is very annoying. I checked if dns is working and it does. Plugin update search is also very slow, but does work. The "Auto update Plugin" still works, so i can update my dockers, but the Update-Search method from unraid it self on docker page, seems to be broken. I've 15 dockers installed, on the last beta update before RC1 updates for dockers went fine. Update: I've also got a timeout for docker console once, with the same message. Greetings Dark
  13. @limetech Hey Tom, the Dashboard finallay shows the temps of the drives, if i once spin down the hdd's... But now it seems i get no more SmartData shown in Disk -> Settings... Reading Smartdata in console is still fine... Dunno if this is related to the temp display fix for dashboard. Can anyone confirm, that Smartdata is no more displayed on other controller type than default?
  14. With my controller i can use "cciss" or "sat" ( where smartctl suggests "cciss" as you can see in the screen)...regardless which one i choose no temps in main. Smart data is working for me we with either of them. In another topic i can't remember it was already confirmed, that selecting a specific controller type (regardless which one) is ignored for the command that reads the temps, seems that the controller type value isn't properly used to build the command with the needed params...
  15. There's also an similar old bug report for this i think...
  16. i'm fully aware of my hdds in the Screenshot are in standby mode but this also applies for if non of the hdds are in standby... This was already discussed in another topic, so this was only a reminder that it's still not working... Before someone might ask again...
  17. But my HDD's in main view are still showing a "*" (Star) instead of the actual temp, temp in the ini file get's never updated. But as you can see, smart data has those temp values, but it is not standard controller type...
  18. Hopefully you fix the hdd temp problem for main view if a non standard driver is selected (or needed - automatically selected), as you stated in beta 25 i guess...xD
