Solutions

  1. Alex.b's post in DNS problem for a few days (impossible to communicate with outside) was marked as the answer   
    I'll get back to you, I reset the modem about ten hours ago and it's been working ever since! I have to admit I don't really understand why it works now and not yesterday (my router only had a few basic settings like WiFi and I have 2 port forwardings).
     
    I hope the problem has been solved! Thanks again for all your help.
     
    Tomorrow I'll have to test putting the switch back between the modem and the server (the server is still connected directly to the box with an ethernet cable that runs throughout the house) 🤣
