  1. Thank you soo soo much. It worked out my next cloud is now running. I didn't know there was a config editor that I could use 😃. Really appreciate the detailed explanation as well. This solution worked for me. All you need is a App plugin called Config Editor. For those who see this post in the future.
  2. Hi guys, I recently did a fresh install of my server drives and I wanted to edit something in the App data today I noticed the folder is not available for access from either mapping or from my network. How would I be able to allow access for that share to be accessed and read/written on? I want to edit a config file in it. It is available on my Cache drive. Thank you. roshark-diagnostics-20211123-1248.zip
  3. Its my first time doing any kind of networking in along time. I just made my Unraid server a little while ago. I want to connect it so I can use it as a cloud machine as well. I am using this guide: https://medium.com/@chrismorris_82249/setup-a-reverse-proxy-nextcloud-server-on-unraid-using-letsencrypt-831905d94f7d I got stuck on let's encrypt where I am getting the following error: Certbot failed to authenticate some domains (authenticator: standalone). The Certificate Authority reported these problems: Domain: unraiddnsrosh.duckdns.org Type: connection Detail: Fetching http://unraiddnsrosh.duckdns.org/.well-known/acme-challenge/9HVgFbSc0kexwymYiTK4JAcppmx74-9uY53Hyb1doKw: Timeout during connect (likely firewall problem) Hint: The Certificate Authority failed to download the challenge files from the temporary standalone webserver started by Certbot on port 80. Ensure that the listed domains point to this machine and that it can accept inbound connections from the internet. Some challenges have failed. Ask for help or search for solutions at https://community.letsencrypt.org. See the logfile /var/log/letsencrypt/letsencrypt.log or re-run Certbot with -v for more details. ERROR: Cert does not exist! Please see the validation error above. The issue may be due to incorrect dns or port forwarding settings. Please fix your settings and recreate the container Some challenges have failed. 4. I am getting the same issue my Provision button just keeps spinning.
  5. Thank you for the confirmation. I will remember to disable it when I do it next time. Just wanted to be sure as the drives came from really far away.
  6. Ok after I used preclear all the drives were showing up as unmountable. So I am formatting them again and rebuilding the array. Will update if something goes wrong. Edit: Ok Array got rebuilt that was fast. Going to try copying files back onto them again.
  7. Hi guys, I am new to Unraid just built my server recently and found out about preclear about 3 days ago. I did have 3 drives already running on the array. So I took them all off and tested them all. All of them are 6tb Exos Seagate. The tests ran for almost a day and a half. Could you please check if all the drives are clear and good to use? There are 6 drives in total. I lost one's data but, I did dload the SMARTS file it and all other ones. So I will be posting both preclear and SMARTS data. For some reason SMARTS Extended self test doesn't work for me it stops at 10%. Thank you hoping to hear from you soon. preclear_disk_WSE0Q0JE_4757.txt preclear_disk_WNB188M3_8997.txt preclear_disk_WNB17R6M_14230.txt preclear_disk_WSE0HLXA_3234.txt preclear_disk_WNB18B8Q_9249.txt ST6000NM021A-2R7101_WSE0Q02Z-20211116-0532.txt ST6000NM021A-2R7101_WNB17R6M-20211115-0105.txt ST6000NM021A-2R7101_WNB188M3-20211115-0105.txt ST6000NM021A-2R7101_WNB18B8Q-20211115-0105.txt ST6000NM021A-2R7101_WSE0HLXA-20211115-0105.txt ST6000NM021A-2R7101_WSE0Q02Z-20211115-0105.txt
  8. Yeah same I don't understand why it's so low I got everything working perfectly. Even my router shows it's on 2.5Gbps. I will try and reattach the wifi 6 antenna probably didn't insert it right.
  9. Yes basically when you go into your shares and the files you frequest there are 3 ways to store those files. High Water, Fill up and Most free. You can read about each and pick the one that you like accordingly. If you don't want wear and tear with read only data like movies and shows keep them on one drive. That way only one drive will spin up when in use. If it's general files you can split them up no issue.
  10. Well the test didn't load at all in the browser well I did get the Iperf working though.
  11. Is there something I can do to improve it on a wifi 6 connection or is this the expected speed I will get on my lan? Maybe buy an addtional wifi 6 card that might be better than the internal one?. And should I edit out my IP address from this thread. I was wondering if it had to do with any limitation set by the address or port. 12. I will definitly look into it tonight. And try to run it. Thanks again =). And if you know what more I could do to get those speed do let me know. I need to install something on Unraid etc.
  13. Hi Guys, I recently built my NAS system and after setting up the 3 - 6tb HDDs in an array and added a 250gb cache to it. The speeds are around 70mbps and lower when I copy a 4gb file over Wifi 6. Just now tested it getting around 50mbps. The PC has a 2.5 Gigabit port connected to my Asus ax11000 router's 2.5 Gigabit port with a Cat 7 Cable. I am not sitting too far from my router just the next room over. My motherboard is a Auros Master x570 board which has a Intel® WiFi 6 802.11ax 2T2R & BT 5. For more features https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X570-AORUS-MASTER-rev-10#kf So I tried copying files on my system itself I get around 1.1 gbps speeds from moving 1 file from 1 ssd to another. Crucial BX500 240GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch is the installed SSD. Is this too slow? 500mbps Write speed. I am trying to understand when my wifi's link speed is around 1-1.4 Mbps. Why don't I get similar transfer rates. I am no where close. If I was getting around 450 mbps It would've bin fine. Do I need to buy more SSDs and raid 1 them? Do let me know a complete newbie here what else do I need to install on my array. I tried installing the OpenSpeedTest but, for some reason it doesn't work. Thanks any help or advice would be greatly valued.
  14. For those looking for more info on SMART test errors. This thread really helped me understand what is going on with my drive.
  15. Ok I will do that I will test all my drives. I am really new to this and sadly sending the drive out and back cost almost as much as the drive. Hopefully Seagate in my country could rectify the situation. Thankfully I didn't have much on the drives. I will go ahead and look up Faqs on removing a drive off the array.
